Dr. Jitendra Singh Assumes Charge as Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions

Dr. Jitendra Singh took charge of his new assignment as Minister of State for the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions here today. 

Dr. Jitendra Singh in his interaction with media persons mentioned that the Ministry deals with important institutions and their smooth functioning is to be ensured in a transparent manner. 

The Minister also stated that the Mantra of “Maximum Governance and Minimum Government” is the requirement of time and for the good governance it is to be ensured that all round progress is made with the co-operation of everyone in the country. 

The Minister was later briefed by Dr.S.K.Sarkar, Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training and Shri Sanjay Kothari, Secretary, Public Grievances and Pensions. Sr. Officers of the Ministry were also present in the briefing meeting.

VICE PRESIDENT EXPRESSES GRIEF OVER LOSS OF LIVES IN TRAIN ACCIDENT IN SANT KABIR NAGAR

Following is the text of Statement by the Vice President of India Shri M. Hamid Ansari expressing grief over loss of lives in the train accident at Chureb railway station in Sant Kabir Nagar (Uttar Pradesh) today : 

“I am deeply grieved and shocked at the tragic loss of life and injuries to passengers resulting from the accident of the Gorakhdham Express train that took place at Chureb railway station in Sant Kabir Nagar (U.P.) earlier today. 

I convey my heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families and pray to the Almighty to give them strength and fortitude to withstand this immense loss. I also wish speedy recovery to the injured passengers.”
